CORPORATE YOGA
WHAT IS CORPORATE YOGA OR OFFICE YOGA?
Yoga is lately experiencing a high demand in many companies because of their beneficial and relatively fast results. The employers offer "Wellness Programs" in shape of Yoga classes at their workplaces in order to keep their employees happy, fit, healthy, and stress and pain-free.
Studies have shown that we can eliminate sick days and health issues with Yoga, improving our health, work quality, teamwork skills, and emotional stability. It has been proved that health has a direct impact not only on our work environment but also on our personal performance. At the office, people spend numerous hours sitting working on their computers, as a result, many suffer from back and neck pain, frequent issues in western societies. It is in those contexts where Yoga comes in play.

MY EXPERIENCE IN CORPORATE YOGA
I got inspired long ago to bring yoga into the workplace after witnessing how many of my friends started suffering from anxiety, stress, sicknesses, back and neck pain and other management problems at work. In order to help them to cope with those situations, I began to give them yoga and meditation classes, as well as breathing techniques.
The results were very positive, so almost 5 years ago I decided to take one step further and offer yoga also to those people working in offices who need some guidance to improve their wellbeing.
Sometimes our busy lives don't let us take time for ourselves, that's why I love to offer this healing and valuable practice to people directly at their workplace.
WHAT DO I TEACH?
My guideline is “teach from the heart”.
That means that my personal goals in my sessions are directly connected to the kind of work my students have and I create the exercises according to that always focusing on:
- Relieve stress
- Mobility
- Pain reduction
- Increase body awareness and concentration
- Postural improvement
I always adapt my classes to the needs/limitations of every person in my class, encouraging my students to practice, improve, and understand how necessary is to listen to what their bodies are telling them.
